The Dive Center

Phare Amédée Established in 1989 in Nouméa, The Amédée Diving Club was the first dive center to operate in New Caledonia.
Both a Beuchat and a PADI 5-star dive center, we offer our visitors a warm welcome and high quality services.
Our reception desk is located on Port Moselle, a few meters away from our boats and is the meeting point for all divers.

We depart to our dive center located on the Amédée island at 7:15 am. After a 45-minute boat ride on the magnificent lagoon, now listed as a UNESCO’s world heritage site, we arrive at the island and our comfortable 200m² bungalow equipped with showers, restrooms, changing rooms and a sundeck. After scratching Acide behind his ear (our 16-year-old native born feline mascot), you will proceed to the change rooms where you’ll find all the equipment needed to explore the surrounding dive sites.

Around noon, after the first dive, a hot meal will be served with local fruit and coffee which you can follow-up with a snooze in our hammocks, or a romantic stroll around the island. Nourished and rested, you will then move on to your second dive.

After returning from your second dive and rinsing the equipment, you can nibble on snacks and sip hot beverages before we make our way back to Noumea.

We are open 7 days a week subject to bookings. Dives are run for a minimum of four divers.

Transfers to Port Moselle are free of charge and can be arranged from most hotels in Noumea. Pick-up generally takes place at 7 am in front of the lobby.

Payment is to be made in the morning at the dive center’s reception desk. We accept all major credit cards (except Amex), local cheques and cash.

All our staff speak French and English. Dive courses can also be conducted in English upon request.
